BASI Demo Team

During the summer I was selected to represent BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) and at the 2011 Interski Congress in St Anton and I have just returned from our first training camp in Hintertux, Austria.

Naturally representing BASI and British skiing is a great honour and I see this experience as being a highlight, but not the end, in the long career I have had in the skiing industry.

The Interski congresses are organised every four years as an opportunity for approximately 37 member nations to get together and show the world their current philosophies.

The BASI Demo team consists of 10 skiers & 2 snowboarders and it is a priviledge to be skiing with such a talented, experienced and knowledgeable group. We will be performing 3 runs, bringing the current BASI technical philosophies to life to a capacity audience of 1,500, before leading on snow workshops and presenting off snow seminars to the delegates.

BASI is very respected on the world stage, has a vibrant and diverse membership and the instructors the association qualifies stand in front of millions of British skiers every year.
