Ski Coaching background:
From gaining his first instructors licence in 1985, James (Jaz) has continued to strive for excellence in his professional skiing career. This career has included coaching the Scottish Freestyle Ski Squad for many years, taking athletes to podium places at International Youth and British Championship events as well as many notable performances at Europa Cup level.
He gained his International Ski Teacher Diploma in 1992 and has been Director of the British Alpine Ski School in Morzine, France since 2000. He has been a current member of the BASI Training Staff since 1996 delivering BASI courses throughout the Alps and has coached many skiers through the BASI ISTD qualification, the highest technical Ski Instructors exam.
Through BASI and BASS Morzine he has a high level involvement in training and assessing aspiring and experienced ski instructors to International levels as they train and work through their qualification.
